Web-based social computing applications such as social networks, blogs, wikis and the like have emerged as popular platforms for decentralized information sharing. For instance, Facebook, a popular social network system (SNS), currently claims over 300 million active users. Yet, concerns over the security and privacy of SNSs make mainstream media news almost as frequently as news about their popularity.
