What we do

• Conduct world class research into all aspects of information protection, including mathematical foundations, secure communication and cryptography, quantum information science, privacy, and the security of computer networks, software, and hardware.
• Provide teaching and training for students in cryptography and information security, preparing them for meaningful careers in these fields
• Establish long term alliances with industry and research centres around the world and encourage linkages, including commercialization opportunities, between academia, industry and other partners
• Promote public awareness of the ever growing challenges involved in protecting private information from unauthorized intrusions
